Motel 6 South Bend, IN - Mishawaka

After driving 4.5 hours from Ohio to Indiana, we arrived exhausted and ready to check in. The front desk attendant (night shift, wearing glasses) was standing outside smoking, and I had to wait over six minutes before he came inside to assist us. From that point on, the staff was unaccommodating and unhelpful on every level. When I requested two extra towels later that evening, it took almost begging before they were provided. The WiFi was another major issue — it went in and out for the first two days and then completely stopped working for the last two, which created serious problems since my partner works remotely. Upon checkout, I politely asked for a large trash bag to wrap my dog’s bed (she’d had a small accident and I didn’t want to drive four and a half hours home with the smell)

Dropped in at 1am, the front desk guy was really nice! Rooms were clean and modern, hence the higher price than most motel 6s. For me the most important thing is if the rooms are quiet since I'm a light sleeper, and even though there was no double door entrance into each room there was at least a seal under the door which helped to keep out noise. It wasn't perfect but better than most holiday inn's that I've slept at. My main complaint was that the pillows were very lumpy and there was only one thin blanket. I had a very hard time sleeping because I kept having to adjust the heat in the room to make it warm enough to sleep and there were no extra blankets to be found anywhere. Positive: Very pleasant young woman at the front desk and walking distance to Notre Dame Negative: I wasn't expecting a luxury room but I was hoping for a better mattress and thicker towels. What made it worse were the ants crawling around the room and some on our blanket which we took off the bed. Not a very good stay.

We were just passing trough heading home, but the bathroom had curly hair on the floor, in the ice bucket, and on the toilet seat. There was fast food trash under the bed our puppy dragged out, and stains on the sheets and the building and elevator reeked so badly of pot, you have to cover your mouth and nose to pass through.

i stayed here for two nights and the guy at front desk at night time is the worst employee i ever seen in any business.I booked online and didn't know about security deposit.May be its common knowledge but i'm not a person who regularly stay at hotels so i ask him that there was no mention of it on that booking app.He started gaslighting me that i'm arguing.After i checked out i was planning to stay there for one more night and i was asking lady(day time staff) that which will be cheaper for me to book online or with you then suddenly he appeared from back and started saying i'm wasting their time and i'm not allowed on property even i wasn't talking to him.He put his hand in front of my eyes to block my view of front desk.I can't understand why this hotel company allow him to work there.T
