Motel 6 Libertyville, IL

I had stayed here before about a year ago. It was a much different place then. They are doing some pretty serious, much needed upgrades. My wife and I needed a room, last minute, for our Thanksgiving stay. The room we got was comfy, cozy. The bed was super soft and comfortable. The room was clean and neat we we arrived and the front desk let us check in an hour early! (Thanks) The decor of the room was a pleasant surprise from what it used to be. A modern look with plenty of lighting options. I especially liked the backlit headboard. While having breakfast would be nice, I understand that it would raise the cost of the room (which I think was a deal for such short notice on a holiday!) All in all, you get what you pay for here, but they are working to upgrade the atmosphere and experience

OKKKK sooo it took along as time to get me and my sisters room done girl and we had to suffer with the smell of urin(i have medical issues with bladder) and when they cleaned it they said they would charge extra if it happened again not only that the ac in my mothers room started leaking!(picture provided) and we are scared to call it in case we don’t wanna get charged for the damage if there is any not only that! The cleaning lady who cleaned my room gave me a dirty ass look after saying if I pee’d with a attitude like yes I’m sorry for a medical issue

Positive: "" Negative: No breakfast like other hotels give this one had no breakfast just coffee no coffee maker in the room so you can make your own coffee if you or tea if you want to, but they provided it to front office area 24 seven but it’s not the same no Kleenex

I’ve had nothing but problems here. The front-desk staff is unprofessional and extremely rude. I put money into the machine multiple times and it didn’t work, and the clerk refused to help or even try to fix the issue. When I asked for her name, she walked away from me and said she was “done with the conversation.” On top of that, the water was shut off for hours without any notice. I was literally in the shower, covered in soap, when the water turned off. I called the front desk asking for towels, and she told me I had to come down and get them myself—while I was soaking wet and unable to rinse off. Completely unacceptable and disrespectful service. I never asked for anything free . They are doing some nice renovation here , though.

Bad bad service! I had to change the reservation because I booked the wrong day and called within 5 minutes and was charged $10 more. Then huge issue with bringing our dog even though motel 6 are all pet friendly. Then my key card was deactivated hours before actual check out time and couldn't get back into my room after walking my dog this am. I will also be reporting to corporate because they should know that the guy that owns the place is extremely rude and doesn't represent motel 6 as he should.
