Motel 6 Levittown, PA - Bensalem

Where do I start?! We were in town for a family event & needed a room for the night. None of the hotels in the area had good reviews so we decided to take a chance & stay here. I wasn’t expecting a high standard at all but this was completely unacceptable. We decided to book the room with a soaking tub. The first room, the keycard wouldn’t work. The gentleman at the front desk programmed it 2 more times & tried the door himself & it wouldn’t work. Then he gave us another room. It looked like the room had been broken into a few times because the door frame was damaged, the bolt that you lock from the inside was broken & you had to almost kick the door to get it closed properly!! Blunt honesty. Motel 6 allows pets, which having my dog with me was required. There was a refunded pet fee however. We were out of the room everyday before house keeping started, so apparently that meant they passed over our room... all week. The bed wasn't too bad, good king size but they forgot a blanket. Was just the top sheet and bed topper to start with. Thankfully my dog had a small accident on the bed, so we discovered that it did have a matress protector, and we really got new sheets and a blanket... but only after the woman at the desk treated my partner like a child fir allowing the dog on the bed ar all. This was the 3rd worst hotel I've ever stayed in. My friends were in a classy hotel 15 minutes away and they could not have been more different. There hotel gave me a key so I could use my friends room to dress in before the wedding. This one had a sign that you would be charged $5 for a lost room key. The reception was dingy and the carpets leading upstairs haven't been cleaned in years. The room was 50 degrees when entering and felt very damp. The floor was sticky and the room smelled like a crime scene had just been cleaned up. I almost went out to sleep in my car, but was fearful of the parking lot and seedy element in the neighborhood. My wife and I stayed here instead of the Red roof inn because of gas. The pricing was a little higher but overall the hotel rooms are nice and spacious. The one problem I would give, is the staff is hard to get to do anything when you need help with something!

Okay I see all of these bad reviews about the Motel 6 and I don’t understand it. My Indian boy that helped me check in is so friendly and is a legend. The room was actually very nice especially for what I paid for only minor issue is there are like old stains on the wall, but that’s not a problem and some of the people in that area are weird looking other than that I loved my stay and I love my Indian guy and I will miss him and it was a very nice place to stay!
