Motel 6 Goodland, KS

Acceptable room cleanliness and layout. Remote for TV didn't work, but I was too tired anyway. A bit of dust, yet I was forewarned that in exchange for an extra-quiet room I might get one that had a bit of dust. Not a problem. And it was quiet. Everything else was fine. Staff was friendly , polite and receptive. Location is super convenient to I-70 access points.

we don’t have anywhere to go as of writing this and with no implications of them being sold out, we finally drive here after a few hours of driving and go to check in. man at the counter tells us there is only one room available and that it was a kitchenette, wanting us to pay $88 + taxes and fees, even though we already paid for the room??? and it wasn’t even a room that we asked for/knew about? stupid place.

The rooms aren't bad; decently clean, not musky, a bit dated with some upgrades. My issue is that I counted 6 flies in my room along with a few other small flying bugs. Some may have flown in when I entered the room, because there are insanely bright white lights outside the room which cause insects to swarm. Bugs aren't a huge deal to me but in a room this size, 10+ insects is a bit too many to let slide. I woke up early because one fly wouldn't stop buzzing around my face in the morning.

The staff was super friendly but the hotel was anything but restful. The first room we were sent to had the door wide open at 8pm. I went to the front desk and they immediately moved me to another room. I get to the other room and it was small, the beds were super uncomfortable and there is people living in these and out on the walk way partying. We still tried to get some rest but the sheets were dirty and overall I just felt unsafe there.
