Motel 6 Carpinteria, CA - Santa Barbara - North

The ladies working the front desk are the sweetest and always very welcoming, especially Leah, Dot and Pooja. They deserve a raise! Anyways, the rooms are decent for the price! My only complaint is I stayed in room 237 last week and the shower took hours to drain, literally over 2 hours. So, I made the front desk aware of the issue. A few days later I checked back into the same room and the shower still wouldn't drain properly. Bummer. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay. Plenty of parking at night and the location is great. I would suggest booking a room towards the back of the property away from the freeway to avoid the noise.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. That especially holds true with this Motel 6. |We arrived very early for check-in and were greeted by Christina, an 11-year employee at this location with an amazing attitude & personality. Expecting an extended wait for our room, she went out of her way to accommodate us within 15 minutes. Within that short time, we felt we made a friend. That outstanding customer service continued throughout our stay and is hard to find. 5-star representation!|The motel itself follows the overall quality come to expect from this brand. Service was great. Simple amenities and comfortable stay

The staff here were friendly and helpful, and there was plenty of parking, which made check-in easy. The room was clean and comfortable, though a little on the small side. Now, about the shower… I’m convinced the designer was intern. The stall is so tiny it feels like showering in a phone booth. There’s a plastic grab bar that I kept bumping into every time I turned, which made for a pretty awkward routine. At one point, I dropped the soap and had to step out of the shower just to pick it up because there wasn’t enough room to bend over. The water pressure didn’t help either — it took forever to rinse off. The funniest part is that the bathroom has plenty of empty space where they easily could’ve made the shower bigger! Dot was amazing! I've worked at a bed and breakfast before and I know how challenging check in time is. There was a rush and she handled it like a champ with a huge smile on her face making joke and powering through no problem. Very impressive!
