Mossy Point Campground

Our stay at Mossy Point Campground was a major letdown. What was promised and what we experienced were worlds apart. We were hit with an unexpected surcharge for having more than three people — despite staying in a single camper that sleeps eight. There was no mention of this at booking, making it feel deceptive and dishonest. Even worse, we lost water twice during our stay — for hours at a time. For a site claiming full water and electric hookups, this is unacceptable. The lack of basic infrastructure, such as proper signage and safe access for larger campers, made navigating the site difficult and even dangerous. Communication and transparency are also serious issues. The campground’s website has no visible rules or policies — just a phone number. This left us completely unprepared fo

The campground is at the peak of a heavily wooded mountain 10 minutes from Knoebel's amusement park. There are water and electric hookups for an RV making it beautiful and easy for us. However, there are no other amenities to speak of - no clean bathrooms (Porta potty), no showers, no store, but lots and lots of rocks to jostle your vehicles. Very rocky so I can't imagine camping in a tent here. ||The location is wonderful though. Very close to a family friendly amusement park, just as close to Shamokin Reservoir that has gorgeous, wooded trails that go down to the water's edge, or stay on the main trail for a level bike ride.

Going again for a 2nd time. Great place for camping no pool or fancy amenities. But great for real camping. Very close to the amusement park and wasn't over crowded the first time we visited in October for Halloween

Very quiet and clean campground!! The owner was such a nice man and even told us the story of the campground and a much quicker way to get to Knoebels…very much appreciated!! Would definitely return!!

If you are looking for somewhere clean, quiet and close to Knoebels I highly recommend Mossy Point. Called at almost 9 PM on a Monday hoping to just get a site to sleep at for the night and was surprised with a lovely, accommodating camping experience. The owner, Dan, met me at the entrance and had me follow him. Dan was so kind as to set me up at the little "tiki bar" pavilion as there was a thunderstorm coming and he even helped me set up camp. I was not expecting to have lights or electricity either but the pavilion had an outlet and cozy rainbow lights. Dan also encouraged me to pull my car right up to the pavilion for ease of access. He seemed to be a very hospitable person. Now for the camping itself, I was also pleasantly surprised. I stayed completely dry in the pavilion and it was
