Moose River Campground

My husband, my 4 yr. old son and I had a great 3 day vacation in Jackman at the Moose River Campground. The cabin we stayed at was cozy, clean & comfy. The owner was very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. She let us in our cabin hours before the usual time because it was ready for us early! This was especially nice because the bugs were ferocious the evening before when we arrived at a tent site & also the following morning. The night we got there was cool and wet, and the perfect time of year for the mosquitoes, black flies and no-see-ums to be just horrible. However, when the sun popped out the next day and dried things off, they were very tolerable. The other guests at the campground were nice and the atmosphere was family friendly. Nice campground! I stayed one rainy night while passing through on a road trip, and the owners made it easy for me to check in late and find my tent spot. The tent site itself was soft, grassy, recently-mowed, and quiet. Despite all of the nearby fresh water, I don't think I saw any mosquitoes. The bathrooms were large and clean. I had a very pleasant stay there.

Chef is very much on his game. Everything was freshly sourced and made to order. They changed a few ingredients in my order due to allergies and it was delicious! Kim, the owner, tracks where her seafood comes from (she even knows what dock) to ensure freshness. The filet was perfectly cooked and their housemade steak sauce is highly recommended. Kim's daughter was our waitress and was an absolute gem! Very good service, very good food and drinks. We will be coming again.

Decided to go to jackman last minute and picked a number and called. Thankfully it was this place and thankfully they had a cabin available for the weekend. The owner was super friendly and totally gave us our privacy, didn't even meet her until we were checking out. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Shower was hot. And the bed was comfortable. We showed up in the middle of the night and was a little nervous as we're heard something big in the wood about 15 to 20 feet away. Turns out the deer love this place as well. This place is truly a secret I would like to keep and not share. But it's just too good of a place not to tell people about it!

We rented for 10 days. The owner agreed to guide us to the abandoned trains on Sunday. My snowmobile won't in a ditch. They got it out for me. We went to the trains. Very friendly. Bent over backwards. Clean cabins. Great hosts.great place to stay. Would give them a 6 if I could.
