⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Ethereal, Once-in-a-Lifetime Stay at Monument Valley KOA Staying at Monument Valley KOA Journey was nothing short of breathtaking. From the moment Bella and I arrived, we were surrounded by spectacular, wide-open views of Monument Valley’s iconic buttes, glowing with color and scale that simply can’t be captured in words alone. This is one of those rare places where the landscape feels almost otherworldly—quiet, powerful, and deeply moving. For photographers, this campground is an absolute dream. Whether you’re a professional photographer or a first-time visitor with a phone camera, the light here does all the work for you. Sunrise and sunset transform the valley into a living painting, with dramatic shadows, shifting colors, and endless compositions in every direction. Eve
Nice location. We found the highway noise to be acceptable. Spots do not have crushed gravel or a hard surface, so when it rains, the spots can become muddy, even with standing water. Electrical hookup locations are pretty well at the front of the site/RV, not in the usual location by the water and sewer.
This is a great place to stop to see Monument Valley. Plus there's some other stuff to do in the area. The only reason for my 4 star review is the shower situation. The handicap shower head is broken, so that is difficult to use. And the middle stall shower head needs to be replaced, it was like razors on my nipples, which made it difficult to shower. And then the water went cold before I finished my shower. Everything else at the park was great.
Rewrite: This campground is a mixed bag. While it's one of the few places with full hookups, the sites are very close together and it's always crowded. Almost half of their washers and dryers are broken, and the area is swarming with flies at least at the time we stayed there. Yet, it is just next to the highway and close to most attractions.
Beautiful views from the campground. Flies were terrible. Horses and overflowing garbage are too close to the RV park!! Pull through spots were barely big enough for larger Class A motorhomes will little place for towed vehicle to park. Hookup could have been located better.
