I haven’t had the chance to experience a trip with Montana High Country. However I’ve seen the place firsthand and met the folks who run it. Barbie and Jeff they’re first-class people through and through. You can tell when something’s built with heart, and that’s exactly what you feel here. Between the snowmobiling, bull elk and moose hunts, and more. Maverick mountain 2 miles historically has some of the best skiing in Montana , The pioneer Mountains has everything Montana stands for — wide-open beauty, adventure, and genuine people who love what they do. From what I’ve seen, their guides are top-notch, and the views are nothing short of breathtaking. With a 96% kill rate 2025. If you’re looking for a sporting excursion that delivers both world-class outdoors and down-to-earth hospitali
AMAZING! Every aspect of this beautiful lodge! Rooms were amazing, spacious and clean. The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and abundant at every meal. Every want and need were graciously accommodated by the husband-wife management team and the owners. Cannot recommend HIGHLY ENOUGH!!!
We just completed our second stay at Montana High Country, and once again, it did not disappoint! The snowmobiling experience was absolutely fantastic. They did an excellent job of breaking us into groups based on skill level, ensuring that everyone had a great time—whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider. The food was amazing! Each meal was delicious and satisfying, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The guides and house staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and their wealth of knowledge about the area truly enhanced our experience. We also discovered the local ski area, which is a hidden gem, and the hot springs were the perfect way to relax and unwind after a day of riding. Overall, our time at Montana High Country was unforgettable, and we can't wait to retu
We recently returned from our second trip to Montana High Country. This place is truly a slice of heaven. The owners, Aaron and Kim, have done an amazing job to create a warm and inviting environment. Rooms and accommodations are great. The view from the lodge is absolutely breathtaking. Barbie and Jeff prepare the most wonderful meals, and make sure you have anything and everything you could possibly need. Our snowmobile guides, Dustin, Caden, and Robert, are so knowledgeable, ensuring everyone has an amazing time on the trails. We are so thankful for everyone at Montana High Country and hope to return again next snowmobile season.
Three of us came for the snowmobiling. We had no experience. Our guide, Robert was great! He made it fun, interesting and with a variety of riding areas. He even started a fire and made us smores! We were not staying at the lodge, but all the staff made us feel welcome. This is a “must do” if you haven’t been snowmobiling before, or even if you have. I can see why they have people that come to this amazing lodge every year!
