Mojo's Slab Camp

If you are looking for a camping site during your stay at the slabs...Go to Mojo's! I went to visit Slab City to see my brother, the librarian. I stayed at Mojo's for the bathroom and amenities lol. I absolutely love the library bathroom! It didn't feel like it was an outside bathroom, it's better than the ones at the beaches! There are also showers available. I spent 2 nights in my car, but visited my brother most of the time. Mojos camp is affordable and very safe. With 10 dogs around, they'd bark at any car entering. I even slept with one window down because it was too hot with them all up. I loved the balcony and the view of the beautiful desert sky! My husband and I stayed two nights here and were sad to leave! Mojo is a super kind and amazing lady and we felt so safe staying here. Everyone at the camp was friendly and made us feel welcome right away. Also, our dog had the time of his life running around with the other dogs here and it just made the experience even better.

What a wonderful soul Mojo is, and the community that is around her. Really enjoy being there getting to know everyone and wish I had many more day. Will be a long visitor soon enough.

I couldn't have nicer and better things to say about Miss Mojo and her camp. She is an incredible, hospitable, welcoming person that made the first experience in Slab city all the better. Her camp is FULL of amenities. Great pull in spots. Rooftop deck to view the sunsets over the Salton sea. And to view (what we thought was going to be a missile launch but then couldn't see it lol) Indoor/outdoor kitchen. Hot water outdoor shower. Flushing toilet. Plenty of fire pits with social nights and firewood included! Not to mention I felt so safe here at mojos camp. With 10+ dogs patrolling the grounds constantly we always knew if someone was approaching as the dogs would howl. There isn't another place in all of slab city I would rather camp. Mojo is the best…. Such a sweet lady and running quite a wonderful community campground… Definitely a surreal experience and absolutely uniquely eclectic destination!
