Moby Dick Motel

I've been staying at this motel for more than 30 years and always felt it was a good place to stay for the money. I called a couple of weeks ago to make a reservation for this past week end. (Aug. 3 and 4th) I was told the rate would be $75.00 per night, the highest rate I've ever paid. I asked for the senior discount and was told there was no discount on the week end. (first time I had heard that) Not that $10.00 is a lot of money, but when you're on a fixed income, every dollar counts. We were also suprised and disappointed upon returning to our room after our Saturday outing to find our room had not been serviced. The trash was still overflowing, no clean towels or bed linen. We have always been pleased with the service here, but not this time. We hope its not a trend.||||I was pleasant

Somebody from staff I'm assuming tried to come into my room at night which is absolutely terrifying. Also the owner yelled at me over a simple question, I'm a paying customer and that's the way you treat your guests. Disgusting.

I need a place to stay last minute for three nights. I didn't know quite what to expect as the rates here were unbelievably cheap. I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I was that the room was so clean and me in modernized. Very very pleased with my stay here and highly recommended and compared to other motels and motels one would never expect such a nice place for the low rates they charge...

My husband & I stayed here for 12 days/nights and it was the most incredibly clean, spotless room that we have ever stayed in! (and smelled great too). While we were there they changed the sheets every 3 nights with a new vibrant pair every time (same with the towels, no boring white hotel towels), The owner, manager and maintenance/groundskeeper were so friendly and accommodating, we had to go the office for coffee and they asked us every day if there was anything else they could get us to make our stay better. I would recommend (and I did) this motel to anyone. Don't judge a book by it's cover, not only clean but very very affordable as well! Job WELL done!!!

We were on our way to a function on Cape Cod and thought this motel looked quaint. It was clean but the odor of cigarettes and the lack of amenities was terrible. They charge a modern 90.00 per night for a motel that is steeped in 1970. 2 Towels,in the bathroom and two, well used, face cloths. The air conditioner was obviously broken so no ventilation at all. The carpet was clean, windows were filthy. The bathroom was very old but again, very clean. The front desk clerk was a charming older woman. The "in room refrigerator" was large enough to be in anyone's home kitchen. This would have been an OK place if it just didn't smell so bad. This motel is worth 60.00 a night at best.
