Customer Reviews
New owners, being remodel! It’s definitely a great place if you are just need to relax. Owners were very nice and accommodating. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Towels were huge and very soft! Downside- no TV’s but there is WiFi. Restaurant on site, but no chef yet so not open!
Bravo! 5+star!! Book immediately, i highly recommend!! Where do i start with this place?I made my reservation thru Expedia, and almost immediately, the owner of MDH phoned me to thank me personally for my reservation, and to be sure i received the confirmation email with details about the property including that they do not offer food during the off-season, so i should be sure to be prepared for that. I wasnt sure what to expect after the one on one attention directly from the owner but upon arrival, i saw i had nothingtoworryabout. The Moby Dick Hotel is the PERFECT BALANCE of having the complete confidence in the amenities of a chain hotel/corporation, and the unique atmosphere and quaint charm of a boutique bed and breakfast. The facility appears to be turn of the century aged, so
This is a special place. First be sure you’re okay with the negatives: it’s 18 minutes from Long Beach and it’s on the East side of the peninsula. Still five stars for me, might be a minus for others. So very quiet there. No drunk tourists/noise/traffic. But, the walls are thin. What you may LOVE: the rooms are beautiful. All are different. Lots of art. It’s very old 1930’s? But beautifully restored and clean. It has all the charm in the way of old style B&Bs, before there was AirBnB. You can walk out to the water and enjoy the view. No one else around. Lots of deer. Good coffee in the morning. Lovely proprietor who will make you feel so welcome and lucky to be there. Grocery store and Ocean Park beach are just a mile away. Also check out Oysterville (yum) and Leadbetter State Park.
We really enjoyed our stay. Owners were extremely friendly and the hospitality was five star. The hotel is currently under going renovation. That was actually not a big deal as far as noise. No construction was preformed during the weekend.
This place is like before and breakfast place without the breakfast . Common area you can make own coffee. Inside rooms are with shared bathroom s. We had an outside entry rm . VERY SMALL . Clean . Had a hair dryer in the bathroom BUT no electrical outlet in the bathroom . No chairs in the rm . Not worth the cost to stay there.
