Minnewaska Lodge

This place is a GEM in New York! The views are spectacular. There’s a mountain outside your back door! If you’re lucky- you may see a deer! The breakfast is phenomenal and we eat and drink off of REAL CHINA. The BEST part of the stay was the hospitality. Ms. Maggie was superb- welcoming, accommodating, warm and the epitome of hospitality. This is my first trip to New York, and Maggie with her team made it UNFORGETTABLE- I lived a real Hallmark movie! The areas were always clean. The breakfast attendant was very organized and provided for needs before we asked. During the entire stay, I felt like family, not a guest.

We have stayed at the Minnewaska Lodge many times, but have not been there since before the pandemic, when there was different management. It is still just as cozy and lovely and peaceful, however, we had some concerns this time. The young man at the front desk was kind and helpful, and upgraded our room. However, the heat in the room was not working properly, as it blasted hot air, even when set at 58 degrees. That made it difficult to sleep. However, the beds were excellent and very comfortable. The drain in the bathtub did not stay up, so the tub began to fill during my shower. Sadly, the gas wood burning stove did not work, we had looked forward to sitting in the common area by the fire.| The breakfast was nice and varied, even though there were very few of us staying at the lo

My friend and I had a wonderful cozy winter stay at Minnewaska Lodge! It is a gorgeous, clean space that has incredible views of the cliffs and is tucked away in the woods while still being very accessible to New Paltz and other attractions. We especially enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace to read and knit, the trails in the back of the hotel, and the plentiful breakfast spread. The employees were all extremely pleasant, and helpful in making our stay so nice. We will be back again!

Came here for an overnight after getting engaged. The staff was extremely helpful in marking the special occasion and were very attentive and responsive to our experience. The king sized room with deck and view of the cliffs was very cozy and comfortable. We were very happy with our time.

Positive: The hotel is situated in a beautiful setting looking out onto mountains and woods. The hotel is quiet and had plenty of common space to enjoy. It is extremely peaceful. The staff were kind and helpful. Negative: Rooms are dated but they were comfortable.
