Millstone Hill

I really want to give 5 stars, as our experience was generally great! There are a few things worth noting if you are reading this: pay attention to the room you select, as some of them have shared bathrooms. We arrived after dark (8PM-ish) and standard procedure is to call and they talk you through how to get to your room, which is nice and easy. Once inside, it was pretty easy to hear all movement and it seemed like we had to be library silent for the rest of the evening. Breakfast was delightful and the host was wonderful, very welcoming and warm. Overall a great experience, and this would be a perfect place for a group of people looking to get away, it just comes with some non-traditional things to be aware of. Oh, and the view andodhe were BEAUTIFUL!

It should be illegal to promote this place. The pictures and description are tantamount to fraud. The buildings are decrepit and caught in a time warp. I was met by Pierre, 2 large dogs and a cat. We walked in through a kitchen that I would be scared to eat from. The view is the only thing worthy but not nearly enough to overcome the house of horrors.

This place is amazing! We stayed in the Lodge. The rooms are cozy and decorated well. Everything is clean. The owners are super nice. Breakfast was great! The views of the mountains from the yard beautiful. We stayed out late watching the sun set then the stars! It's been so long since I've seen so many. You could even see the Milky way. I'd definitely stay again. Rather spend my money here then any chain hotel\inn.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic! Pierre was a wonderful host!

I recently visited the Farmhouse while I was in Barre. It is so beautiful. The whole house is filled with antiques and the staff are really nice - I loved talking to Pierre, espeically about Barre's history. My room had a wonderful view of the backyard, which has a nice garden under some apple trees. I really enjoyed my time there. It's a great place to stay while exploring nearby towns, and it has some nice hikes not far. Highly recommend. Pierre's muffins are AMAZING.
