Mill Creek Resort

We stayed here to celebrate the new year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabins have plenty of amenities to keep you and your guests comfortable! At the same time, the simplicity of the cabins with board games and no Wifi allows for respite from the outside world. We loved the warm furnace and the sound of the creek behind the cabin; it was the perfect cozy winter getaway to ring in the new year! The location is perfect, within minutes you can head into Lassen or grab a bite at Highlands Ranch Resort. We loved exploring the property as well; it had plenty of snow and beautiful views. Would absolutely stay here again!

What a charming glamping experience. The tents were large and very cute. The bed was cozy with lots of extra blankets (it got near freezing at night in early October). The private bathrooms for the glamp sites were clean and the hot water came on fast. Also, I initially had really wanted to camp inside Lassen for this trip, and so was a bit concerned booking here being outside the park. However this actually wound up being a perfect location because it gave us ready access to the main core of Lassen, as well as the East side up through Almanor to Cinder cone.

This place is a gem. I have used the campground twice, and found it to be so much higher quality than US Forest Service campgrounds. The sites are widely spaced, well maintained, and there are showers and flush toilets, and it is Quiet!||Best of all is the staff. It's family run, and the people are helpful and friendly. Good signage helps you navigate the property. Have not yet stayed in the cabins, but looking forward to it.

Our cabin was small but nice. Good bed, good shower. The cabins are not right next to each other like in some places. There is a row going back from the street to a nice meadow, but the meadow is pretty accessible to all the cabins, and there is a creek behind the cabins. The smaller number cabins are the ones closer to the road, and the numbers go back as you move back towards the larger part of the meadow. There were a couple dilapidated cabins that hopefully will be refurbished. There is also a lodge but I didn't get any sense of what that was like. There used to be a convenience store, but that's closed. So it seems like things may have been nicer in the past, and have the potential to be really nice in the future, but even given that I would definitely recommend this as a place to st

Fresh air, very peaceful with beautifully clear dark skies at night. Watched a gorgeous moon rise from a clearing in the resort. Walked the trail to the creek. It's hard to describe how soul refreshing this place is. Very close to Lassen National Park, so plenty to do during our stay. Our cabin had a fireplace to keep us cozy in the evenings. We highly recommend this lovely place.
