Mifflinburg Hotel & Scarlet D Tavern

This review is for the tavern only ~ We stopped by after a brisk evening walk to enjoy a meal. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly and placed our drink orders. The menu offered several appealing options, but we both opted for the chili, with mine featuring cheese with sour cream on the side, and his topped with chopped onions. The chili arrived steaming hot, with a rich flavor profile and ample ground beef and what appeared to be three varieties of beans. The bowls were satisfying and warming, and our server delivered exceptional service.

Booked the room by the photos and rating. The lobby was redone and looks great. there was no-one at the desk, had to get bartender from the Restruant to help me. The room was nothing like the photos, not as fancy as the photos, just bed, a chair, and tv stand, old bedding and pillows, could not use fan( was so out of balance I thought it would come out of the ceiling) The room was very hot upon arrival and I asked about air conditioning, was advised none in room a unit for the floor. Should have left then but want to help a small business, big mistake. The windows don't open in the room, the air conditioning never came on. I requested the management to correct the air conditioner several times with no response. The TV only had 11 channels the very basic cable.Had a terrible nights sleep!

We went to trivia this past Wednesday. The room was crowded. Supposed to start at 7 pm, didn’t start until 7:20 or so. The same guy asking the questions had to correct the players answers. This took 15-20 minutes in between rounds. Maybe have another person check the answers while the main guy continues with questions and then reveal the standings after the second round? Trivia time could have been cut in half instead of 40 minutes a round.

Stopped in quick for some wings for a Halloween Party. Everyone loved them. I got Garlic Parm, Bourbon Honey and sweet Thai Chili.

Right in town a place to stay with good service, great food and cocktails to your liking if you choose.
