Middle Fork Cosumnes Campground

Been coming for years. Nice family campsites. Volt toilets. No running water. Stream is available for water. PLEASE HELP KEEP CAMPGROUND CLEAN. Thanks.

Great campground. Outstanding, beautiful location. The campground and the toilets(vault) were very clean. The sites are spacious and spaced well apart - lots of privacy. When I was there, the was no campground host - so I was lucky that I had brought firewood. The equipment (benches, fire rings) are a bit aged and could use a refresh. There are no reservations for this campground and it seems to be popular. When I arrived on a Friday at 3pm, I got one of the last two available sites. Due to the river, there were a lot of mosquitoes at dawn and dusk.

The campsite is very nice and spacious. It is very close to the swimming hole. The only downside is partly the ownership. The man was very nice and accommodating. However the lady was very rude and demanded us to give everyone peace and quiet around 5-6pm because “people come here for peace and quiet”...even though we were not that loud. We were given the notice of 8:30am-10pm. Quiet time is after 10pm. We respect those who do go camping for peace and quiet but however we’re paying to use your site. Please be respectful of others spaces. We didn’t bother anyone or do anything to disrespect other campers. So if you have a family of 13+, don’t camp here If you’re going to try and spend quality time and want to have some fun.

Great campground! It's first come first serve with many camping lots and several vaulted toilets. Dawn (person in charge) is great! She is very friendly and helpful. There is a small creek running along the campground. I took my kids here for the weekend and they absolutely loved it! The only downside is that there are tons of bees. My brother and I both got stung. The bees will definitely play a major role in whether or not we go back.
