Mid-Way Lodging

Roadside motel. Internet is worthless. Takes minutes to even load Google, never mind streaming. The TV is also worthless with no live stations or directions how to operate the 2 remotes. Any app on the TV is also worthless since the Internet is so poor. Constant buffering. Went to front desk for help at 5:30 pm. The sign on the door said Closed and will return at 5 PM. Went back to office at 6 PM and sign said Closed, will return 2:00? And No vacancy. (I presume 2 PM the next day.) I called their phone and went to voicemail . Terrible service. God forbid there is any emergency, with no one present on the property. Better bring a book, since that's your only option. Forget about making a drink, since the ice machine was completely empty. The shower drain is totally clogged. A quick shower

While working in the area, my Fiance and I booked this place, as it was a perfect in between spot of where we needed to be. When we arrived after 7PM, no one was there but we called the number on the door and the nice man gave us a number code to enter into the combo lock and we were good to go! Quick and easy! This place is so cute and quaint! The room was very clean and great sized for the budget pricing! It is a very quiet location and there are beautiful views of the mountains behind the property!

My grandparents stayed at this motel while visiting Maine! Such a beautiful room! Feel’s definitely like an extension of home! My grandparents said the people that own the hotel are very friendly and accommodating! Will DEFINITELY be planning a trip here in the future! Also, you can’t beat the view from the hotel!

This is a very nice little motel with lovely individually decorated rooms. All the amenities of a fancier place and well taken care of. Our only complaint was a slow running drain the the bathroom. They have completely remodeled the place with heavy duty doors and locks and even storm/screen doors and quiet ductless heat pumps/AC. Grounds are sweet and a great view of the mountains in the distance.

My wife and I have stayed at this motel 3 times now. The rooms are immaculate and feel more like you're staying in a guest room than a motel room. They have just updated to new little electronic keys that are very handy and easy to use. The windows facing away from the road have a lovely mountain view. The beds are very comfortable. I would recommend staying here after a visit to Portland--it's not much of a drive, and is much more affordable, quieter, and comfier than expensive lodging in the city + free wifi
