Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Wheeler Ridge

Very nice spot. Very clean and tidy. In room WiFi that was fast enough for me to do this review and upload the 7 photos with no issues. The pricing is very good given the location. The location is convenient to the freeway if you're needing a spot to lay over for a day or two before you work up the nerve to tackle metro LA traffic, or if you've escaped from LA (some of you might get that veiled reference...LOL). Drivers: it's walking distance away from the T/A plaza so park the truck and treat yourself to a night in something other than the 'tiltin hilton. they don't mind bobtails parking on the lot, but I wouldn't recommend trying to get your truck and trailer in it; there's a Black Bear diner next door, other fast food choices, and the Tejon Outlets mall across the street. I was traveling alone - I had someone in the parking lot following me and making me extremely uncomfortable about my safety as soon as I showed up. I called the front desk who suggested I just park in front of the cameras but I don’t feel safe enough to leave my car or check in because of this individual watching me. They told me I couldn’t get a refund it would have to be approved by hotels.com which is where I ordered the room through. After going back and forth with hotels.com representatives, I ended up staying at the best western across the freeway for my own safety. They tried to get my room refunded from microtel. The next morning Hotels.com sends me an email informing me Microtel denied the refund. This place didn’t care about my safety at all when another guest put it in jeopardy.

Positive: The staff were very friendly. Negative: It?s pretty low end. It was clean, but definitely a budget hotel. Ok for a place to sleep.

Lipstick on a pig situation. Rooms look good but the amenities are not there. No refrigerator or microwave in rooms! Cannot do long term stay here at all. We had to upgrade to get basic amenities! Yet they are shamelessly charging luxury prices for sub standard amenities! Be aware dont get ripped off if you can avoid.

At the beginning at check in was wonderful all great. But unfortunately they've charged me for the room and the deposit wich I did called in beforei reservate and the lady who answered said it was ok to reservate online to pay the deposit in cash. Well unfortunately it wasn't true, anyhow... I've noticed in the morning on my bank app that they've charged me on my card the room with the deposit and on the other side another deposit so technically Ive already paid triple for a nice simple room! I did talked to the gentlemen up front desk and he gave me a non sense answer!... to someone that has been traveling for so many years and had been very generous to every hotel and many hotels has been very generous to me I have never felt unwanted like in this one. They definitely loss a great custom
