Micanopy Inn

I have been staying at my canopy Inn when I come to Ocala for the last 6+ years. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are exactly what you would expect for the price and it is a very peaceful atmosphere. I would recommend this motel to anyone looking for a reasonable motel. Plenty of parking

This hotel came respectfully rated by trip advisor. Evidently these are old reviews and way off base. Other sites rated it lower, but I did not expect this to be a half star hotel.||I selected the hotel because all the hotels in Gainesville had doubled their prices for the Gatornationals weekend and I was not going to pay $120+ for a Travellodge type room. While I figured to not expect much for the $35 room, I sure did not expect a stay of failures.||I was given a king room with a broken A/C unit until a double room opened up. The tub was disgustingly dirty. The second night I got the double room which is where this review begins. ||The travel bag/towel rack was half ripped out of the wall, the room had not been cleaned/serviced (bathroom cleaned, sheets, and towels were quickly provided h

The cat's on site made the stay worth while and definitely will visit again to see those cuties.

Positive: They accepted to give my money back because I canceled after checking in because it was filthy Negative: Black mold in the bathroom, toilet kept clogging, no hot water, water was brown, sink constantly dripping, no ceiling lights worked, cobwebs around the door and windows

My husband and I went to Micanopy because we like to ride bikes and walk..I have seen alot of bad reviews but personally if u are trying to go low budget it is a good place to stay..the owners were very cordial and friendly..the place is outdated but it was built in 1971...our mattresses were the serta brand and slept comfortable. We had a TV, microwave fridge and a hot shower..That's really all we need. We will stay again if in that area.
