Mendocino Farmhouse

We stayed at the pine room which decorated in French country style. The room is charming and newly renovated which opens to a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and cute chickens. We got to see all 3 rooms upstairs in the house as well and all have been decorated nicely Overall the whole place is very welcoming and well presented. Pictures on the website would not justify how lovely the place is. Margie, the owner, is a very nice host. My most favorite breakfast was her warm oatmeal serving with very delicious poach pear, peach, mangoes, and cranberries. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Mendocino.

We had a delightful and restful experience at the Mendocino Farmhouse. The barn cottages are so romantic and feel like a retreat with the real fireplaces and peaceful outdoor sitting areas to enjoy the sun with a morning cup of coffee. The gardens were in full bloom, the grassy area by the pond was warm and relaxing, and Margie's fresh breakfasts were delicious. Only 6 minutes from town, and surrounded by redwood trees, Mendocino Farmhouse is quiet, beautiful and really gets away from it all. I will be going back!

My husband and I love this farmhouse B&B, located amid beautiful gardens and a redwood forest, just a few minutes from Mendocino. It's the best of everything. You have the experience of nature, but with restaurants and plays at the excellent Mendocino theatre nearby. Margie is a delight to chat with and her breakfasts are superb. We stayed in the "Pine" room and were very happy with it. We have stayed here often and plan to return.

Mendocino has become a popular and pricey destination, and I found it unexpectedly hard to locate affordable lodgings. We were lucky and couldn't have been happier. The Farmhouse is delightful, beautiful, and charming, surrounded by gardens and mixed redwood forest, only a couple of miles from town center. We stayed in the Cedar room, a large room with a sitting area and fireplace, half of a separate cottage, only a few steps from the main house. The room was a little hard to find when we arrived in the dark on our first of two nights, but comfortable and blissfully quiet. Breakfasts were delicious, and Margie was accommodating when I asked for an egg in addition to the blueberry pancakes and bacon. Extremely quiet, comfortable rooms which were lovingly curated and adjacent to a beautiful flower garden. Very comfortable bed! Very good breakfast in the main house. Extraordinary location right in the middle of the redwoods, but just a short drive to Mendocino and also to the very good Little River Inn Restaurant. Couldn't have been prettier. Marge was a great cook and hostess. AND she made a special trip to FedEx me some items I had left behind.
