Medomak Family Camp

We just finished an amazing week at Medomak with our three kids, ages 8, 4, and 2. It’s a remarkable place led by a special team. Every counselor and staff member showed each of us such genuine kindness and enthusiasm. The week at Medomak gave us all the chance to step away from our busy city lives and enjoy each other, new friends, and the simple pleasures of life. There are too many highlights to recount but some include the impromptu late night astronomy lesson George and Holly gave our enthralled 8-year- old; our kids’ first kickball game; our fishing expedition with Zach; campfires, kayaking, and archery; the Friday night talent show; and lazy afternoons on the waterfront. This is our first family camp experience. We had a wonderful time. The kids got hooked on fishing, archery and paddle boarding. As for the adults we enjoyed the magic that nature brought along with no stress and no worries. A blissful family vacation.

We have been home just a few days and already we all want to go back! There is just something so magical about the simplicity, the structure, the history, and the nature there that make it hard to describe. From the activities to the meals to the time to find something you want to do - it was such an amazing trip to take as a family. Slow down together. Unplug together. Learn something new together. Medomak is an a amazing place full of peace and wonder for families. The food is awesome! The setting is serene. The counselors and staff are AMAZING! Zack and Eliana do an incredible job. I recommend this place to any family looking to truly relax, unwind, and grow!

Two summers in, our family couldn’t be more grateful to have found Medomak. It is truly a vacation for everyone and the owners have considered so many small details to make it special and fun. The cabins are simple but extremely well thought out, family style meals are delicious, and there are options for adventure or relaxation at every point.
