The campsite was really beautiful. I enjoyed that each site has a fire pit and picnic table nearby. My group very comfortably fit 2 cars and 6 people in 4 tents on the group site. The bathrooms and showers were convenient. There was also a convenient truck that came by between 5 and 6 pm each day to sell firewood, snacks, and some other basics.
This is a very nice, rustic campground, especially if you can get a lakefront site. We decided to camp here as a final outing of the season somewhat last minute, so no lake views for us. Our site was large with a good buffer between neighbors. Plenty of room to back in and maneuver our small (18') RV. There are NO HOOKUPS at any of the sites, so you'll want to be pretty self contained. Due to the lack of hookups, there were some campers running generators, but I didn't find it too intrusive. There are also plenty of trees (you're in the forest, after all), so anyone relying on solar panels or Starlink will need to be extra choosey about their site. Bathrooms are dotted throughout the campground, but these are not heated and made for some chilly October morning potty trips! Also, if you ha
Meacham lake is a beautiful nature preserve in the Adirondack that offers access to the beautiful pristine Meacham lake for boaters, paddlers, and anglers. As well as their pristine camping facility that allows for great memories to be created. Our family has been coming here for over two generations. This campground never disappoints
Stayed at family site 81 over Labor Day weekend. Beautiful campsite! Bathrooms are clean but not always stocked with toilet paper, the ground at our site was rock hard and sandy so bring weights if you are tent camping for stakes. People mostly abided by quiet hours and the rules on generators. Also there is a couple who drives around in the evening with plenty of firewood, snacks and ice! We got a massive firewood bundle for $7 . Overall I highly recommend!
The RV side of the lake is SO noisy, it made tent camping miserable. The tent side of the lake is so poorly maintained, no functioning bathroom, and good luck if you fall on your hike. The lake is beautiful, the forest is beautiful, but the grounds and campsites are so outdated and in such poor condition that I don't feel that it is at all worth going back.
