McGregor Manor

Was a great place to get the family together. Separate bathrooms for each bedroom was a plus. We ran out of LP while we were there. The host was able to get someone out on a Sunday.

We decided to make a surprise family get away to McGregor, IA to visit family and were extremely pleased with the Hospitality. Even though the Inn was not in season Brenda Boeke, Innkeeper was extremely hospitable and made this a great holiday for us, by opening. This was our 2nd time back and will always stay there when we are in town. The first time we spent a romantic weekend. The food and care Brenda provides is excellent. She goes above and beyond to share the town history and provide local recommendations.

If your looking for a vintage style getaway! This is the place! Absolutely loved this manor and it's a must stay place! I would definitely come stay again! We booked it via AirBNB for 3 nights and it was cool!

We had reserved two rooms for a Saturday night, and found they had overbooked. They left only one room available. We're easy going people, so we said all four of us could stay in the one room available. Two of us slept on an air mattress provided by the management. Though it was clearly the fault of management that only one room was available, we were still charged for two rooms. They told us, only after sleeping there a night on an air mattress, that they charge by the person. $232/night is a lot to spend for a night on an air mattress! Even after this unfortunate "mix-up", the management was rude to us when we raised the question of price.||||I'm not sure if this was a scam, or just poor management, but we will certainly never stay here again.

Incredible experience. This historic home has been so well cared for. We love the porch out front and the fire pit out back. And plenty of bathrooms for large groups. Must visit when in the area.
