McCoy's Inn

I was really surprised by the suites. My wife and I drove in during the holiday season to surprise family because we had a couple of days open up unexpectedly. The suite had plenty of room for my two you get sisters to come spend the evening with us to catch up. The kitchenette had room to prepare some snacks and hor'dovres and the "living room" area was able to comfortably seat the four of us (although i did pull in an armchair from the bedroom). The passthrough fireplace from the bedroom to the living room/sitting area was really nice. The lack of an elevator was disappointing. If you are unable to climb stairs, please ensure you get a first floor room. Additionally, they hotel is minimally staffed so be patient. Oh my this place is so cute! Seriously the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at and I travel a lot. The room was so spacious and so cute. There was a review about this place being dated, I didn't feel that way at all. The parking lot had plenty of lighting as well. There are business all around the hotel that are light up too. This is just a single hotel, not a chain. Supporting independent small businesses should be priority!! They care about our business, not like the chains!

On a trip to Cottageville, WV, to get a custom made motorcycle seat from Seth Lamm. He recommended McCoy's Inn in nearby Ripley. All we can say is WOW!!!|It's a small hotel...no elaborate lobby, dining, swimming pool, nor fitness center (trails for running/walking just yards away). More importantly, to us, our two room suite was large, beautifully decorated, clean, equipped with/ top notch TVs, kitchen appliances, and comfortable bed. Beautiful artwork & photographs of the area on all hallway walls. Great outdoor areas ...fire pit (w/wood), barbecue, picnic tables, concrete tables/benches overlooking|It's a small hotel... no elaborate lobby, dining, swimming pool, nor fitness center (trails for running/walking just yards away). Stayed overnight and pleasantly surprised. The place looked small and dated. The parking lot was a little dark and secluded but the place had good reviews so we decided to take a chance. Glad we did. It was a little dated and not fancy but extremely clean. It had a great homey feel and everything we needed. Large comfortable rooms, coffee pot, very nice staff. Would definitely stay again.

This is probably one of, if not the best place we have ever stayed. I dont know why Google didn't recommend this at first, but after we had to flee another hotel in the area because of how bad it was, this shining light popped up and saved the day. Be aware, they are not super big, and they WILL run out of rooms, so plan accordingly, because you dont wanna miss out. These rooms are like mini apartments and they're so clean. On top of that, the staff were super friendly, its just a delight. You can even see when you're here, each room has a guest book in the bedroom full of stories of how excellent this place and its staff are. From stories of helping walk pets during stays to helping people coming back to visit lost loved ones and making the stay special, it was really nice to read ours.
