I lived in McCleary in the past and would always wander by this incredible building and dreamed of staying here. I am so grateful this historic hotel has been restored and I had the opportunity to stay and enjoy a step back in time with modern conveniences. The rooms are beautiful. Matthew and Lorena give a great tour and tell so much about the history. I was able to work from the hotel throughout the weekend on the WiFi without a problem. The vibe is so cozy and laid back. I enjoyed sitting a doing puzzles with other guests and visiting. It is a beautiful place that adds a little whimsical feel to life. So glad to be able to stay and I look forward to coming back.

We've always wanted to experience this beautiful old Hotel and had our chance last evening. We stayed in a King bed room with a private bathroom. Walking into old charm and a wonderful history of time past and preserved. The owners are easy to talk with, comfortable and have made it a place to relax and rebuild yourself from the rushing of life. No tv, only WIFI with Books, puzzles, conversation, yoga and quiet. Just what every soul needs. I cant wait to come back.

This place is awesome. It’s simple, cozy, historic, and a real gem of a place in McCleary. The service was exceptional and the stay special. It’s quiet and brings you back to a simpler time that felt charming. The building itself was amazing and the downstairs lobby and fireplace lounge area was great. Our room was rustic in a cool sort of way and the bed was very comfy. In conclusion, it really brings you back to a simpler, cozier, and more unique time, and my wife and I loved it. We will definitely be back one day.

This hotel was one of the nicer hotels I have stayed at the rooms are a bit different than what you might be used to but it still has everything a normal hotel has and more. I would really recommend coming here the staff will make you feel at home. If you have any questions, I wouldn’t hesitate to call.

McCleary Hotel The first thing I noticed about this place was its beauty and the genuine care that Matthew and Lorien have put into preserving it. You can feel that this restoration is being done the right way—not as a trend, but out of respect for the history and craftsmanship of the building. It’s clear they are motivated by a real desire to keep something special alive. The rooms are unique and thoughtfully maintained, with an interesting energy that makes the space feel inspiring rather than generic. Matthew gives a great tour, and from time to time you can hear work being done around the building—but that’s exactly what you would expect from people who are actively improving and restoring a historic place. It never felt disruptive, only purposeful. Staying here gave me the chance t
