I stayed 5 nights in the Mazama cabins in early September. I enjoyed my stay. The cabins were comfortable, adequately clean and fairly quiet. There is some plumbing noise but it seemed other guests were respectful to not make a lot of noise. There was no internet/cell reception in the cabin so expect to make your own entertainment when you're not out enjoying the park. Annie Creek restaurant and store are close by where there is cell/internet. The rim drive & village is a beautiful, twisty 15 minute drive. There is no daily maid service in the cabins. But there was a good supply of towels and honestly, who needs new sheets/towels daily anyway? You can ask for additional coffee pods for the in-room Keurig machine at the store if needed. Location is great and the park is the star in any even
Basic rooms, clean with walking distance to the restaurant and shop. Lots of campers lying around outside the shop, and the shop was expensive. We had to wait almost 2 hours for a table in the restaurant. The food was nice. Fuel on site which was good before we left. Crater lake lodge needs more seating outside. A few rocking chairs wasn’t enough for the swarms of people visiting. It’s worth staying for the amazing views of crater lake, the walks of different levels/abilities, but the facilities are basic.
I was a little bit worried after having reviewing many of the reviews posted here. I can only assume that they were based on their experiences prior to the renovation. We stayed in July, 2021. Could not have been a better experience. The rooms were clean, bathroom was clean, accessibility to our car was perfect. The proximity to the general store and the restaurant were great, a nice easy walk. ||The bed was very soft, very clean, and the room with your standard hotel room. You are paying for location here, and frankly the price was not that expensive given how close to the park you are. My only criticisms would be it would be nice to have a small refrigerator or a microwave in the room. And secondly, the Wi-Fi is essentially nonexistent in these cabins. If it is that important though,
Overall a great campground. Spacious sites with table and fire ring. Clean and well maintained restrooms. Keep in mind that while most sites are reservable but many are also first come first serve. Ive been trying to reserve spots for the bike closure for last 3 months with little success. Fortunately was able to get one first come first serve on Wed before the “ride the rim” weekend. There is water available. A decent camp store. And also a couple decent restaurants right close to camp. Major downside is that there are still only 3 showers for 1000 campers!! Bring your solar shower.
Stayed in cabins which were basic but adequate. Issue we had was there was a smoke/fire alarm going off outside of our room all night starting at 10 pm which wasn’t accessible due to high ceiling. One of the other guests across from us went to get the issue resolved but to no avail . Be aware there is No internet or WiFi. There is also no one on site after hours nor at the nearby restaurant. It’s posted that if you have a problem drive down the road 7 miles. So we had to listen to the alarm going off all night. What if there had been a true emergency? What if there was a fire or other issue??? I would think twice about staying here considering no help is available. This is not safe. We did contact a manager the next morning and the alarm was fixed, but only after getting absolu
