We usually stay in South Beach, but chose Coconut Grove this time around because of a wedding. The Mayfair was such an amazing stay because there are so many restaurants nearby along with a new pilates studio (BODYROK) that is walking distance. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by David with a huge smile and a complimentary drink voucher for the rooftop bar SipSip. He explained the process of checking in and out, how to order room service and requests for anything, and brought waters to our rooms when we ran out. David always asked us how we are doing today, gave us recommendations, and took the time to talk to us like we were long time friends. Mayfair House is enchanting and truly unique. Kenneth Treister’s architectural concept, with its stunning atrium, sculptural terraces, and lush gardens throughout, makes the entire hotel feel like a living work of art. Our room was bold, sexy, and full of character, a brilliant nod to 1980s Miami postmodern design. The food was delicious and the service exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to David and Greg at the front desk, and Evelyn and JC at the rooftop bar, for their extraordinary hospitality, which made the experience even more memorable. After all, it’s not just the building that brings guests back, it’s the people.

There are hotels that simply host you, and there are hotels that transform you. For me, it was the latter. Everything here feels intentionally designed to evoke emotion. The experience becomes almost cinematic, where every color, texture, and architectural detail seems to tell a story, especially if you take the time to slow down and truly take it in. The tropical vegetation cascading through the different levels creates a natural sense of calm. This hotel is located in the heart of the "Grove" and near all shopping and restaurants. The decor and abundant plant life throughout the hotel are a welcome change from many hotels. Part of the hotel is open-air, which adds to the Miami, South Florida, atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and I noticed the manager was very accommodating to those he was in contact with. We did not take advantage of the courtesy breakfast the second day due to the slow service and inattentiveness of the wait staff during breakfast. However, the Mayfair Grille was excellent.

the Mayfair is such a beautiful hotel but what makes it even more special is the people. Starting with checking in and dealing with David, who is always so happy, you could tell he loves his job and greeting guests. He makes you feel at home right away with his jokes and fun demeanor. if you want the BEST espresso martinis, please visit Antonio at the restaurant. He is so nice, so professional and truly has a gift for making the best drinks. He’s spoiled me and now nothing compared to his espresso martinis.
