Our Grandson is enjoying outdoor School in this beautiful place. The whole area is beautiful, there's a lake, cabins, a big lodge, a place for meals, bath houses and woods all around. A huge fire ring for campfires and basketball court. What a great place.
I never knew this place existed until I had to drive my Daughter to outdoor school in September, and let me tell you, from what I was able to see of it, this place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL ❤️ I love that they made a place for kids to be able to go from school and enjoy and be safe!!! A place where kids and Parents can have fun and explore the outdoors and learn new things at the same time!!!! My Daughter had the best time of her life there ☺️ I just wish they were able to start going from Kindergarten or 1st grade and it be an every year thing, instead of having to wait until 5th grade!
I have been attending this camp for over 40 years as a camper and a volunteer. What wonderful memories with rustic cabins (12) for campers, Athletic Field, challenge course, basketball/volleyball /four square court, Beach area at the lake for swimming / canoeing area, marksmanship and archery range to name same the fixtures of the camp.
One of the worst maintained facilities in the state of Maryland!! Grass not mowed, brush and old leaves not cleaned up. It is a shame, it used to be a very well kept park. Not sure if there is a caretaker that works there, or not.
For Spring birding, excellent! No idea about the camp, per se.
