Mary Jane Thurston State Park-campground

Stayed here the last weekend in April with a group of friends, small campground (great for families with small children), large sites, waterfront sites, a park, restroom & showers located down the road at the marina, short walk along the canal to the cute town of Grand Rapids, wood sold onsite, and porta potties on both ends. Some sites have water hook-up. The tent camping area is beautiful! Although we are not tent campers, I would especially recommend this place if you like waterfront tent camping :)

Amazing scenes, I can't wait to start coming here more often, it has public showers and public restrooms at the doc and campground. Also, I don't know how this park does it, but the wildlife there is super friendly, you can let the squirrels and my little sister even got to pet a bird,

We spent one night here at Site 20. The level, gravel site overlooked the river and was easy to back in to. We had electric there but no water or sewer. The camp host instructed us to the marina where there was a spot for potable water and then a dump station. There are showers and restrooms at the marina. I didn’t go into the showers, but the restrooms were very clean. The park, itself, was very clean! We were there during the week, right after Labor Day, and it was very quiet! We really loved this campground and would come back again.

Very clean and peaceful campground. Has a great view of the river from several camps sites. Nice and friendly host and always enjoyable visit.
