Maplelag Resort

Maplelag is honestly our favorite place in the whole world! Our extended family has been going there for more than 25 years. The Richards are incredible owners. They attend to every detail and make it so special. When you are at Maplelag you feel like you are at a true escape - cozy, beautiful cabins - the gorgeous nature, trees, and lake - and the NEW SAUNA!!! The glass walled sauna overlooking the lake is such a relaxing, peaceful, beautiful addition to an already amazing vacation. Some of us even did the plunge from the sauna! If you love peace and nature and cross country skiing or hiking or mountain biking - you will LOVE Maplelag! Our extended family rented several of the cabins and a caboose for the weekend for a family reunion. It was awesome! I had stayed at Maplelag before, but none of the other family members had - they were all impressed with the entire resort! The cabins are beautifully kept and many are newly renovated. The interior finishes are absolutely gorgeous - especially in Big Dipper and MapleHaus. The family was so thrilled with their experience they reserved the same weekend for next year.

Maplelag hosted our mountain bike camp last weekend. The newly renovated cabins worked perfectly for our team! The Candy Store cabin was our home base and it worked well for our group meals and our après bike activities. The beach, water toys, and sauna were well used also. Singletrack trails were in top shape as always! Thanks to the Richards family for hosting and helping make our Wolves weekend a success. Can't wait until next year!

Just stayed in the newly remodeled Norwegian Cabin. I HIGHLY recommend if you're looking for a cozy, relaxing weekend. It's a very cute log cabin right at the trailhead of multiple ski trails and a short walk down to the sauna. Very nice kitchen with brand new appliances and has everything we needed for making breakfast and supper. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the place is very clean. The owners and all the staff I've ever met are wonderful and kind people. I have only great things to say about Maplelag!

Such an incredible resort! We went in the fall for a wedding and it was the most amazing wedding I've ever been too. So many hiking trails, beautiful fall trees, lake, games, foosball, ping pong, hot tub, incredible food. Our room was amazing and I definitely would like to go back!
