Maplehurst Motel

Deserves zero stars. Scam, scam, scam. We called the owner because the building looked abandoned and dilapidated, compared to the very fake pictures that are posted online. The owner picked up; we asked if we're at the right location (also, no signs telling that this is the Maplehurst Hotel) and with the lack of front desk we had NO IDEA what we need to do. He asked what the address we were at was and that check in is a whole DIFFERENT location and not at the hotel?? he said that he's putting us on hold and that HES NOT HANGING UP andddddd he hung up. We called again, its dead and called one more time and now its disconnected. This owner is a scam, his services are a scam. Stay FAR away, look the other way and trust me even from the outside of it looked absolutely appalling.

Gosh where do I start. How about the refrigerator door that came off in my hand. I mean the entire door. Number 2, no lamp shade on the lamp, just a bare bulb. Bad smells, dirty, shower curtain 6" too short which caused a minor flood that I had to clean up. Did I mention dirty. I ended up sleeping in a sleeping bag on top of the bed because I was afraid to climb inside. I was there for a sporting clays shoot and all the other hotels were booked unless I wanted to spend 140 bucks for one night. BTW, no room numbers on the doors. I tried the key and it worked so I got in. I blocked the door at night with a piece of furniture. Because I was afraid someone else might have the same key. PS. Every time my fiancee or myself has gotten ahold of the owner he always made up an excuse and even tried raising the price. Very disappointed my fiancee needs a room for 1 to 2 weeks for work near by! I am absolutely disgusted! They should have a different person running the place. Also heard that the place has bed bugs and needs a lot of work done. This place should be shut down completely until they can pass inspection.. Or maybe they don't have inspections. Im just totally disgusted period.

My stay here was nothing short of terrible. I travel for work, and stay in a variety of places, none of which can compare. The carpet, furniture, and bedspread were all completely stained. The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke and the refridgerator was broken. The room did not come with an alarm clock, and after a long frustrating conversation with the staff, I concluded that they would set a wake up call for me. Unfortunately it did not go off at the correct time, which I told them was very important for the work I needed to do the next morning. I complained, and there was no language barrier in telling me "no refund". There was granite in the bathrooms, which seemed completely out of place.
