Mangold's General Store & Motel

Roads were bad and we had to stop for the night. Located right off the highway this was a great choice. |The general store had a great variety of supplies. |The room was clean , comfortable & a great shower. Also pet friendly ( 2 cats with us). |There was a Keurig in the room & we enjoyed coffee in the morning. |Tina & Misty were the nicest ladies and very helpful to us in digging our car out of the snow.

I wish we could have stayed longer! The room was clean and comfortable. Sheets were spectacularly soft! We enjoyed sitting out on the porch looking over the creek. The only thing that was uncomfortable was the lack of air conditioning, but we both sleep with really cold temperatures at night so this might not be as much of an issue for others. The store had a little bit of everything and wonderful people. I would happily stay here again.

On a recent road trip with my daughter we happened upon this jewel! The room was decorated vintage, exceptionally clean and the best shower ever made. Wonderful friendly folks....the lady is especially nice. It is on the bank of a stream and you can get Huckleberry ice cream for breakfast! Very affordable! I love everything about it!

I just visited the store and spent some amazing time with natural in back yard by the small river. (Creek) Store is like in the movies . Very picturesque. Well stocked. Fair prices. You can find out about everything. Their mulberry milk is a must. I have it pinned to come bake ok my next trip to the area.

We stayed on a Saturday night for a race on the Hiawatha trail. It was so close to the trail, only about a 8 minute drive. The room was nice and clean with an incredible shower! It was incredibly priced and pet friendly. There was a creek right next to the motel with some chairs so you could relax. Inside the store, they sold a ton of goodies including fresh cherries and ice cream! The shop/motel keeper was super friendly.
