Mancelona Motel

They have had a bug problem for the past 3 years and they don’t treat it correctly. They’ve been told the correct way and they won’t. They had black mold in the bathroom and it was just disgusting the way they do business.

This is no longer a hotel it's apartments. When I lived here we had issues and when we said something the jumped on it. Some of the people were not very nice to live by. Make sure u clean before u put anything in the room. My cousin and I cleaned one and we found crack pipes and other things it was nasty 🤢. This was after the person who lived there was gone. We helped clean it because it was so bad.

My friends were in the area last weekend. They literally oculd not find a place to stay. They eneded up here, and a nice women said she had a couple rooms they do not normally rent, but would so they could have a place to stay. And they were greatful! At first look the hotel is nice and you walk into the room and it was spacious and the bathroom is a good size as well. So they were relieved. But once in the room on further inspection, there was a huge stain in the floor with something dripping on it. No TV or remote working. wires were hanging down. Bathtub did not work. The kids really needed baths. And one of the beds was breaking with a 7 year old on it. And they were charged full price. $90 . It is a shame that the owners do not make the neccesary repairs so that people can reall

I stayed the beginning of August. Due to these fake reviews I read. We were told we could get ice anytime. The office was closed everyday until 3 pm. The bed is old cardboard covered with fleas or bed bugs. We got bit up and have pictures of our legs eaten from top to bottom. The room smells musty awful. The shower is so small for one person. You fight while showering not to touch the wall and for the shower curtain to stay away. I was so disappointed I was mislead by reviews.

No one was in the office when I arrived, shift change? Staffing issues. Room key in envelope taped to the office door with my last name on it. That was a first for me. No deadbolt on the door, or at least the slide was missing. Key only opened doorknob. No security chain on the door either. I stopped into the office to let them know I was there, and to pay for the room. Was told if I needed anything office closes at 10pm, so not sure what would happen if I needed anything after that time. Rooms are dated in serious need of updating, beyond a flat screen tv. Also at check in, was not given any kind of login for wifi, which was an open network. I could access the wifi, but not the internet??? Room has microwave and small fridge which was helpful as I was from out of state on this trip. Room
