First time visit to Manatee Springs. A really lovely park with an extremely friendly staff. The park looked very well maintained in spite of some hurricane damage from the previous year. All the trails were open and there were no blockages. Everything was well maintained. I really liked the long boardwalk out to the water. We were able to see many manatees and otters. We will come visit this park again in the near future.
Beautiful park, well maintained. Enjoyed meeting staff, rangers and volunteers. Jessica and ed at sunday breakfast with a ranger was educational and Enjoyed. $6 breakfast was nice ! Great park, enjoyable experience.
This is what a Florida State Park campground should be like. Most sites are nested into spacious woodsy areas with w/e/s. The sewer hookup is usually raised a bit off the ground so that takes some work to get the hoses to drain but they also have a convenient dump station. Very quiet and peaceful at night except for owls hooting away sometimes. We had deer, raccoons and armadillo pass nearby. We were lucky to see a momma Manatee and it's 5 day old calf swimming just 10' away. Showers are clean and very well maintained. The park itself has beautiful, crystal clear springs to swim in and an outlet to the river for canoeing or kayaking. There are playgrounds for kids also. Miles of tails for hiking if you're so inclined. Nothing hard or taxing. Loved this place and will return
We tent camped at Manatee Springs State Park in the Magnolia 1 loop, site 14. It was the perfect site for us. There is plenty of space and is close to the showers/restrooms. We took the advice of Youtubers and brought tick protection, but we didn't see any ticks on our 3 night camping trip. The spring, although very nice, is a bit on the small size compared to others we have been to in the state, although It was not crowded at all. There is a small concession/ camp store available.
Great place for camping and swimming. It's always clean and the workers are very nice. Lots of deer that come to your campground for a visit. Nice playground for the kids. Lots of tables and grills. We camp/swim here often and I highly recommend it.
