MainStay Suites Midland

First: I made the reservation two months in advance knowing how busy the Midland area is these days. I never received an email confirmation of the reservation, so three weeks later I called again to confirm the reservation. I was told that the reservation was confirmed and that I would receive an email confirming the reservation…I never received an email. |Second: Upon my arrival I was informed that I was a day late, and I was being charged for the previous day. I know this not to be true since I had my work scheduled on my phone and it showed that I was indeed working until 4am on the afternoon I did arrive (8 hour drive from Houston). Those funds were returned to my account six days later.|Third: I retired to the room where I was greeted by the most godd awful body order smell. E

The hotel states that breakfast is served until 10:00 AM on weekends, however at 9:49 AM the staff had already started removing all the food in front of guests. There were still guests in the breakfast area, yet the items were being taken away before the advertised end time. This was frustrating and uncomfortable, especially for those who planned their morning based on the hotel’s own schedule. If breakfast actually ends earlier, the hotel should clearly communicate the correct time or better train the staff. Transparency and respect for guests make a big difference in the overall experience.

The service was excellent, the person at reception was very friendly, I think her name was Claudia. My family and I felt very comfortable and we will be back soon. Thanks

The bathtub had scale buildup all over the bottom. The water spout leaked so bad that the shower barely turned on. The garbage disposal in the kitchen sink didn't work. The remote didn't have batteries in it. The room service didn't ever ean the room during my stay. It was a complete dissaster.

This was a hotel that I stayed at least 2 times a week for a year. It has went down tremendously and I no longer stay here. They have a real roach problem that needs to be addressed. You open the cabinets and drawers and roaches are crawling from everywhere. Not sure where things went wrong but I hope they get things back to how they were. It’s disgusting.
