Magnuson Hotel West Liberty

The stay at Magnuson Hotel West Liberty was fine overall. The room had a light smoke-like smell at first, but it went away quickly after using a simple scented gel. Once that was taken care of, the room was comfortable, and having a jacuzzi tub in the room was a nice plus that made the stay more enjoyable.

Positive: Location was convenient. The room was clean. Negative: The rooms are worn and haggard - wallpaper starting to peel, furniture and flooring that needs updated.

😊: Room was quiet.. 😢: Room was shabby looking, with peeling wallpaper next to toilet and a damaged, holed wall which room door had apparently been banged into..

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is for sure a little old, but we had no issue with that. The rooms were clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Front desk people were always friendly and check in and out was very fast and easy. 25 dollar pet fee is also a very reasonable price in my opinion! Only negative I can really give is the breakfast is lackluster but you’re super close to several restaurants so it’s not really an issue.Overall good place for the price!

The staff at Magnuson (JC & Tereasa ) were more helpful than most. Arrived late and had a hard time finding this location at street level. ( sign at at street was dimly lit ). The room was clean, but most of the lights did not work and the toilet was a rocking horse. With a little maintenance this hotel could move up a notch. All things considered, I would stay there again.
