Lowman's Motel

My ex husband was renting a room from here. He was a drug addict. He died from a drug overdose inside this motel. This is where people go to do drugs. It’s the bottom of the barrel.

Don't like the fact that if given any opportunity management will use any excuse to be in your room while you're not. The rates are too high $50 a night with a $10 deposit and take pictures at checkout because I was charged $30 for a TV antenna that cost $9 when it was in the room when I left. Other than that, if you don't mind cockroaches, warm air-conditioning, hard beds, flat pillows and someone going through your things it's not a bad place. I liked the place when Darrell the owner ran things because he dose things old school, if you give him respect and honesty then you get the same in return.

This motel has changed. We do not allow drugs and ladies of the night here. If you're planning to come here and do these things I will provide you with a ride out with Burke County Sheriff's. We will not bend the rules like has been done in the past. Our rates will slowly change but for the moment til remodeling is complete the nightly rate is $45 with $10 deposit weekly : $200 with $50 deposit kitchen $250 with $50 deposit Pets are $50 nonrefundable deposit per pet.

We stayed there for about a month, 1 man died right before and another died just before we left. Bed bugs in some rooms. Roaches in all. Owner is a nice guy. Manager likes to say GD alot and lacks people skills. Very abusive to tenants. Reminds me of management at Gateway only much louder.

In a small town this is the place for the locals to go get a break from there own neighborhood. If you just want to have a few hours to your self and like privacy this is the spot.. they have the lowest priced rooms in the area from my personal experience. Weekly rates are available.. call ahead to check availability.. no bugs mini fridge and microwave in rooms. It is what it is...
