Lost River Motel

Easy to find, right off of route 20. Loved all the colorful walls, linens and towels. Comfortable bed. Bathroom was nice. A large unit (A/C or air purifier?) took up a large space in the bathroom. We thought the Halloween decorations and outdoor decorative plants were a little excessive, we felt a little claustrophobic by them. The owners were professional and polite, but did not attempt to be friendly. Their cat “Pistachio” was friendlier!

So this is what happens when your grandparents retire and take up the job of running a hotel. The attention to detail is crazy here - from the Halloween decorated toilet paper to the great pumpkin Charlie Brown pillow cases, and all the decorations in front of all the brightly painted rooms. The room had its own fridge, coffee maker, and micro. This place is a decidedly local experience - eclectic, homey, and reasonably priced. It exudes love. This place was great - highly recommend.

This is the best Motel I've ever stayed in. We stayed in the Hobit suite and we would've never gotten to try this place had another motel (DK motel) stood us up and didnt even give us the room we had pre payed for. We called Lost River at 10:50pm and they immediately said they could help us and told us to come over and they gave us a room immediately. We had 4 adults and my 1yr son. They helped us out so much and we could not be more thankful. Thank you to Z and William. Z and William were so nice. William also helped us and talked us through a bunch of stuff thay was around the area. Couldn't have met a better pair people. THANK YOU LR MOTEL !!!!

We thought this motel was really cute, and they had dealt with the old buildings quirks with care and creativity. The bedspreads were a nice touch, the chairs out front and plants with the multicolored theme were fun and inviting. Wish we would have known about it sooner! Pickles across the street is delish too. |The only thing I’d do when budget allows is upgrade the beds. New beds would be a game changer for the level of comfort in your motel and keep your guests returning!

The place was adorable. Very nicely decorated and is just super cute. We did arrive early and I felt like I was bothering the owners when we inquired about checking in early. We did find the room to be extremely hot and the air conditioner wasn't working properly and was extremely loud. I will say that the sheets and towels were the softest I have ever felt in my life, though.
