Long Scraggy Mountain Ranch

Amazing place! We had a wonderful experience at Long Scraggy Mountain Ranch. Beautiful nature, peaceful atmosphere, and very well maintained. It’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy the mountains, and disconnect from the busy city life. Everything was organized and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

While Long Scraggy Mountain was wild and remote as advertised with beautiful views, hikes, and interesting wild life, the website was not accurate on the accommodations. There are not bathrooms attached to the sleeping quarters, but a separate bathhouse to accommodate all of the cabins. All of which are very rustic.. there are 4 rooms with complete bathrooms attached. Those have ac and heat. The swimming pool inside a greenhouse, fishing pond, and pickle ball court are better than advertised and get five star ratings, while the ball diamond should be advertised as a kickball diamond, and the shooting ranges accommodate ages 12 or possibly beginner target practices but were not suitable for well seasoned hunters. The disc golf game has orange stakes for the targets instead of the tradition

The location is great. However, the hosts are terrible and decided to switch up the rules while we were staying there. They hang over you and don't allow things that you pay for, and they are very restrictive on the times that things are allowed, like the pool. If i pay for the whole campground, I should be able to access things like the pool at any time, not when I'm told to.

If this is the ranch near Breckenridge with horses I cannot rate it high enough. The mountains have extremely fresh, breathable air; the wranglers were skilled at their trade and the coral was clean. If you love horses or not, this is a fanciful place to be. Again I recommend it highly.

Love this place! Very tranquil and comfortable! Plenty of different things and activities to do always. The option to rent camp or cabin stay is very nice depending on the seasons!
