We took a round trip with my step daughter and here husband and four kids. It was a nice scenic two hour drive but so worth it. We got a day pass to the picnic and camp ground by the dame. All the landscaping is overgrown and and up to my knees in some parts. We all were getting bites before the bug spray…. They have private bathroom outdated not dirty but not clean just old times out house like. There was plenty of parking, picnic tables with plenty area around , a small beach clean with access to wading water, a designated fishing area, hiking trails with sit down benches along the water way, fresh running water. Not wheelchair friendly no access. There is absolutely no cell/ internet service available for miles. This area is beautiful with picturesque landscapes the water tempe

I want to preface this review by emphasizing that the reasoning behind the 5 stars is the solitude. No cell service. Not much of anything except nature. Pit toilets are decent and there is 1 water spigot for water. Swimming is limited to small area at the beach that isn't overgrowth with moss. Campsites are decently spaced out. Starlink is obstructed in the 1st 7 sites. If you are looking to unplug and getaway from everything, this is perfect. The frogs are crazy loud at night. There is a pack of wild dogs 4 deep that show up periodically, all bark, no bite. You might hear them fighting with the coyotes at night. On the road leading in, there is a trail that will take you to a spring about a mile in. The creek is substantially cooler in temperature at the spring and there are a few swimmin

Pay area by the lake is the best spot to camp. The other campground where the “campground host” is situated not so much. No signs, no numbers on the supposed camp sites and not clear if it’s free or pay. Knocked on the RV and no one answered but a cute little dog was there to greet me

This is my new favorite campground, it is S👏🏽T👏🏽U👏🏽N👏🏽N👏🏽I👏🏽N👏🏽G👏🏽.while there is no electricity and there is only one water spout for the whole campground to share but there's only 14 sites so if you have a group you can book the whole place. There's also a couple of little hikes that you can go on and see lots of cool plants like Jack in the pulpit.

Picture perfect campground that's very remote and quiet. Lots of good camp sites with great lake views. Pit toilet onsite. Picnic benches, fire pits, a small boat launch, and secured trash cans. The trail around the lake has some very steep and narrow portions, and is not recommended for little kids or the clumsy. Small trailers and pop-ups can get here easily, but there are no hookups.
