Lodge At McGregor Lake

We booked our rooms for the busiest time of the year and the staff did everything they could to accommodate us. This place has such a welcoming atmosphere you will never want to leave. The locals are friendly and the food is amazing. We ate breakfast here every morning and it was fantastic. The view is second to none as you sit right above McGregor lake, with a boat launch 5 minutes down the road and a dock owned by the lodge to leave you're boat while you have a meal at the bar and one of the amazing drinks options available at the full liquor bar with multiple taps featuring local craft beers as well as domestic. Also Bloody Marys are on point as I had one every morning myself. We met the owners Paul and Shannon,while we were here as well as every bartender and wait staff. They treat

This is one of our favorite places to stay. A word of warning, if you wish to visit during the season, especially on a weekend make your reservation far ahead. Don't be alarmed because there is no air conditioning. You won't need it, but you may need mosquito repellent. Your cellphone won't work, but there is complimentary wireless internet available. The rooms have a coffee pot, but there is no radio, TV or phone. The lodge is rustic and the lake beautiful. In the cold months there is heat. It takes awhile to warm up. You will never find more friendly folks. There is a full bar and the restaurant has great food. It's not for everyone, but we wouldn't dream of staying anyplace else. Plus it is inexpensive.

Our room door was standing open when we arrived so it was super cold in the room and took an hour or so to warm up. The television did not work, which wouldn’t have been bad if the walls were not paper thin, those walls allowed us to listen to someone else’s “adult” interactions and with no tv to drown out the sound…well you can use your imagination on that one. Bed was comfy, hot water ran out rather quickly. Overall, not impressed, pricey for what we got.

The lodge is one of our favorite places to go, the food is great, the atmosphere is great, the prices are affordable, they have Karaoke on Friday nights and a lot of kids perform, super fun! The owner Paul is a great guy, and the views of the lake are beautiful, especially at sunset! They also have an outdoor stage with live music and a nice fire pit to relax by.

Love this place. Super friendly staff. The owners, Paul and Shannon are welcoming. They make you feel right at home. The food is delish!! The view doesn't dissappoint either.
