Little Town Campground

Beautiful place to spend a relaxing weekend. This campground is truly special. I’ve been coming here year after year. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by tall trees and plenty of shade that makes every spot feel cozy. The family who runs it puts so much care into everything—you can see it in the spotless bathrooms, the hot showers, and the welcoming atmosphere all around. The river is calm, clean, and safe for all ages, which makes it the perfect place to relax, float, or just enjoy the beauty of nature. Every visit leaves me recharged and grateful. I can’t recommend it enough!

While the town of Washington is super cute and cozy, the people running this campsite are outrageous.||We came here last year for a Friday-Monday and loved it. The water nearby in town was crystal clear, the camp sites are decent sized, and the bathrooms were nice (which is huge when camping) but Sandy running the place is unbelievably rude. She isn't welcoming when checking in, not friendly to speak with or anything. Despite that, we spent all year saying how much we loved this place and couldn't wait to go back.||We emailed requesting the same sites and received a rude email stating our reservation is being canceled, a full refund is being issued and we are no longer welcome there "due to events that took place last summer". When asked why, the reply was "we received multiple complaints

Overall, our experience at Little Town Campground was less than satisfactory. We arrived Friday evening, set up camp, had dinner, and settled in for the night without issue. The following morning, our group set up an area by the water, but we were asked to move—not a problem, and we relocated across the river next to another group. Things took a turn when our friends, who had paid for the campsite across from us, were told they hadn't paid and were forced to leave. This was not true, and it seemed like the owners simply wanted to give the spot to friends of theirs. As a result, our friends had to leave while intoxicated, which was extremely unsafe and irresponsible on the campground’s part. First time here last weekend. The campground is nice, the swim spot is very nice and a rock ledge to jump off of. My son played at the park with other kids and there was a movie night on Saturday which was a cool surprise for the kids. The bathrooms looked remodeled but were very dirty and smelled horrible, no air fresheners or anything. Overall had a good experience, wish the bathrooms had more up keep and air fresheners.

After driving four hours, We arrived at our campsite early Saturday morning, checked in, just to find out that we were met with people already inhabiting our campsite. When we approached her to tell her this was our campsite, she insisted we were wrong and that it was hers. We both went up to the office to get the situation resolved just to find out she had no reservation, and our name was indeed the reservation under the campsite C5. She insisted on waiting to find Wi-Fi to prove that it was her reservation, but she never did. Once she was asked to move her stuff from the campsite, she disappeared while her stuff remained there. once she got more aggressive, she was asked to leave.
