Nice layout with a tranquil setting. My company was planting some trees and shrubs to beautify and knock down the wind. New white rock roads, ample parking and maneuvering space for campers. Firewood available on site, each spot offers a fire-ring and a picnic table. Looks to be trails that lead down to the river. I bet this location offers some picturesque sunrises and sunsets.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The grounds were clean and well-kempt. Sites were large, long, and comfortable. Devin was present and helpful for getting us more firewood. Portapotty was clean. It was fun to have the path down to the river to explore, see some wildlife, and wind down. We camped in a travel trailer, but saw some tent campers and the tent camping area seems well tended and have several fire pits, including a site tucked into the trees. While there is no playground for kids on-site, it is just a few minutes into Syracuse and there is a nice play area there. Overall, a short drive from Lincoln or Omaha and a fun place to get away for a little while.
Highly recommend this place. Quiet and level and fantastic customer service that helped us with our cross country move. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Note: if you are coming from the north, like we did, then consider ignoring Google's recommendations to go around Omaha instead of staying on Hwy 29 and cutting over to Nebraska City at Percival. I wish we had taken this slightly longer but straighter route. The route Google took us on is only 10 minutes shorter, or so, but takes you on a twisty and turny single lane country road that is narrow for a large rig in places. There's also a washboarded gravel road to contend with before getting to the RV park. If we had stayed on 29 until Percival then my nerves would have been less frayed after a long day.
The good: Good communication, new electric only park, easy in, easy out, great electricity, grass mowed, clean and quiet. . The bad: Approximately 2 mile dirt road into the park very dry and dusty. Truck and trailer both needed a bath after leaving. Conclusion: Good for overnight stay if you don’t have any other option but for the price point, and dirt road wouldn’t make it a first choice unless you don’t mind washing everything.
I needed a place to stop on my way home from Colorado, and this was the perfect place! Communication was great when I called with questions, and email correspondence when reserving a spot was prompt. The spaces are good size and each has its own picnic table and fire ring. For bathrooms, there is a porta potty. There are some walking paths on site. There is a town about five minutes away if you need anything.
