We’ve camped here a few times and have always had a blast. Great access to water with kayaks, canoes, and swimming. The bathrooms are decent, nothing special but it’s camping life, so. I love that they have electric and water hookups at some sights. Lots are flat and plenty of trees around but easy to maneuver and no real obstructions when pulling camper. It’s 100% gravel the whole way down the path to get to your spot and if there’s been a big rain it can be bumpy, but most campers are pretty used to it. The recent floods have damaged the banks quite a bit but obviously that’s out of the control of the property management. My kids still had a blast jumping off the banks and playing in the small beach area.

I've stopped and rented a cabin twice. Has always been clean, quiet and very reasonable prices. 1st time we hauled a fishing boat, 2nd time we hauled our Harley down there. Both times it was great. Always could find something exciting to do. The Motorcycle trip was a spur of the moment stop and a cabin was availible. We had reservations the 1st time. The owners on the 1st trip had down attended college in my home town back in Iowa and had some great conversations. Believe ownership changed, but its still a bargain and away frown main crowd. But by boat or vehical, you are minutes away from touristy things, or can stay at campground and enjoy the peace, rent kayaks, hike up the river. Or just chill in the cabins. We will go again. Have a 5th wheel now and rates are much better than most. I

We recently stayed in one of the cabins. Overall, the stay and cabin were nice. We only saw our host once during the course of our stay. There are bats inhabiting the tin roof of the cabins, so take ear plugs if you don't want to hear them all night. The first night was speant listening to them scratch, screech and scrabble all over the roof. The next day we invested in ear plugs while in town and slept great after that. The location was very convenient for outdoor activities at Ha Ha Tonka and the lake. A dish washing sink up at the bathrooms would be a nice addition. If ever in the area, would stay here again.

This is a great campground! We had a really fun time and loved the cabins. Comfortable beds and very clean. Nice shower room also. Plenty to do for the whole family. We did a short canoe trip and had alot of fun. I am sure it is a good place to go hunting also. We caught a few good size catfish right in the campground and had a blast! Will definitely go back!

I've stayed in the cabins there awesome, I've tent camped outside in the group & river side sites, the best fishing ever perfect for a bass boat(if you have one bring it) . I have tons of pics of friends & family grilling & having a good time. Animal friendly, quite. I will always go every year & bring my kids so they can experience this part of the world.
