Little City Campground

Where to begin. ..This campground had a "deliverance" feel to it right from the beginning. We lasted 3 hours before we packed it all up and found different lodgings. It started with big smiles and happy greetings but quickly turned to being treated with sceptical suspicion (?) before we even unpacked the car she started saying depending on how we behaved things might cost more.(!?!?!) We thought that was strange. There was a child on a leash (We thought that was strange) and an area of the campground that is inhabited by permanent campers and apparently off limits. I drove too fast, although far from speeding (maybe 10-15mph) and accidentally turned into "the field" (the loop with the permanent residents?) and all hell broke loose. This park is small and very rustic. Location is out in the country and the road into the park is hilly, winding and narrow for big rigs. We have a 40 ft class A and called ahead for a pull through site. When we arrived, we were a bit confused since there is no real office for check-in. Another camper driving saw us and phoned the on site employee who then gave us an escort to our site. He was very pleasant. The site itself was different, (in the middle of a grass field with hookup) but served the overnight purpose without unhooking our tow vehicle. I was able to do laundry and the owner/manager introduced herself. She was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately we would not go again because of the difficult drive in and out, beware big rigs, maybe ok for smaller rigs.||

Absolutely loved this place!!! Everyone is super nice and friendly! Each spot has lots of room, and it's gorgeous out there! We stayed about a month and a half. The owner, Cheryl, even brought our kids toys when we left for them to remember our stay!!

In all my years of camping from one end of North America to the other I have never experienced such a Gestapo campground host(owner?). Every time we entered or exited the CG we were yelled at for breaking rules that were never explained to us when we checked in. Rest rooms and showers were barbaric even by CG standards, dumpsters overflowing with trash and a very small selection of available sites due to permanent residents.
