Linder Motor Lodge

This motel is behind the curve on cleanliness and maintenance. The building is old and the showers groan as you turn the water on. The towels are nasty and they don’t even trust you to use soap or shampoo. You get little packets of each that don’t do anything. My room had a two-way mirror in it that I figured out because of reflection distortion and the finger touch test.

Due to circumstance, I stayed at the Linder Motor Lodge. I had the pleasant experience of spending a month in Homer, La. Initially I rented a bed and breakfast in Minden, La but didn't like the drive to and from Minden/Homer each day.||||I decided to take a chance, on a one week stay at the Linder Motor Lodge. Admittedly the décor could use some updating. However, I observed no signs of rodents or other pest. The room was clean, staff friendly, environment safe, quiet and cost for entire week, $280 give or take. Compared to $140 plus per night for a B & B or Hotel.||||The hotel management and staff were very friendly, even referring to me by name (nice touch). Very accommodating.||||Most importantly, I slept comfortably every night and felt safe.. ||||As an added bonus, since the r

I stayed here for nearly two weeks when my brother passed. My room was clean, comfortable, quiet and safe. I loved the hot shower and cold air conditioning! Mr. Ken, the owner, and all the staff were very kind and accommodating. Next time I am in Homer, I will definitely stay here.

Stayed 3 days. Only good motel in the area. We were there 15 years ago and it was unpleasant. Under new management now and is being updated. Great new air conditioners, new floors and showers. Wonderful new beds with clean, crisp linens. Great stay ar reasonable prices.

No dead bolt on the door, the keyed knob was the only lock. Very dated room. But hey, it was a cheap nights sleep.
