Lincoln Motor Inn

We chose the Lincoln Motor Court as our home base while on a state park excursion weekend. In addition to being pet friendly, we were immediately drawn to the kitsch of being the last operating motor court on the Lincoln Highway. Staying here is an experience that's all but lost in time. The cabins are small but cozy and still contain modern comforts like air conditioning, a mini fridge, and coffee maker. There's a smart TV, but we hardly watched anything as we chose to explore the grounds or just sit in the retro chairs on our "porch" before retiring for the night. Having already hiked before checking in, I was a bit too quick to take a shower before reading that there is only hot water during certain times. A must stay if you are traveling the Lincoln Hwy as we were. Maybe not the fanciest but very unique. It took you back to a different time in history. It was so clean and the decor was interesting. Probably cleaner than any chain or other hotels that we have stayed in lately. The man who checked us in was great, he recommended a nice place for dinner. Definitely would encourage people to stay here.

as a person who travels the highways and byways of the Commonwealth constantly, one can get weary of the monotony and blandness of staying in the chain hotel out on the highway.. and this charming little roadside remnant of days long gone is the perfect respite and balm for when the hustle and bustle of the highway or the world has you ready to step out the race and rest. Lucas, the owner has taken great care in recreating the nostalgic look and feel of the tiny cottages while adding modern amenities. the open courtyard with its shared picnic tables and fire pit are all one could want for, and the location on the top of the hill means you get beautiful sunsets and sunrises... This place is perfect! Right on the Lincoln Highway. Easy to reserve, beautiful cottages, nice value.

I must admit that I was a bit apprehensive about staying here, but it turned out to be my favorite hotel of the 12 we stayed in during our recent road trip. It is unique and charming. We had everything we needed and more. There was a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable. We felt safe, and outdoor seating areas were available. Despite being next to a highway, it was quiet and had a very relaxed feel.
