Went to visit the place where I proposed to my almost 45 years ago. They have taken the dam out and replaced it with a natural water flow. The park surrounding this area is well kept up with a picnic shelter.
The bridge was removed, and the dam was replaced with a rock barrier and lots of rocks going down stream, creating a rapids. It is a simple park with a shelter and a few camper sites. There is a boat launch for access to the lake.
Nice and private, great for fishing.
Its a super nice place, good place to fish, only thing is there only one bathroom, and no water hook ups
Favorite local low key park, the bridge over the spill way from Lime Lake is the Highlight of the park.
