Stayed here for 4 nights in suite 1. Very spacious room with a double closet and jacuzzi style bathtub as well as a shower. Also had a hideaway toilet with a door. His and hers sinks. Entire building is in great shape considering the age. Bed and sheets were comfy and plenty of room for both of us since it was a king. TV inside of an old wardrobe so some of the sides of the TV are cut off if you're going to be watching lots of TV that might bother you. We didn't. Megan is the innkeeper and breakfast chef otherwise everything else is handled via email or text. We had no problems during our stay and Megan was very helpful with suggesting things to do in the area and local shopping as well as providing us with new linens by request. Each morning she had a wonderful breakfast prepared for us a

We really enjoyed our overnight stay on a mid-November weeknight! Our spacious room (#1) was comfortable and clean, and a soak in the jacuzzi tub was a treat. Internet service was reliable. The king-sized bed was comfortably firm. The furnishings were beautiful throughout the property -- which, as it turns out, we had completely to ourselves -- and included two public sitting rooms. Innkeeper Meghan cooked a delicious included breakfast. Harpers Ferry is a 15-minute walk, so we had no need to drive there. One quibble: the Inn's website mentions a full-service bar on the property. This amenity doesn't currently exist. I recommend the Light Horse Inn!

While it is a great historic building with nice furnishings, more attention needs to be taken so residents stay safe from the leaking ceiling. ||True, there was a heavy rain, but I woke up to drips of water hitting my head. I took a picture of where the drops hit the headboard. Also, the ceiling on the other side looked unsafe.||At about 11:40 p.m. a loud bang on my door followed by someone trying to open my door. I ended up screaming "NO". I think it was an intoxicated patron who spent time at the Barn (Bar) behind the property and could not find their room. I could not sleep well in that room and was ticking the time to daylight to scram.||The morning help was very pleasant and gave me a "To Go" food bag with scrambled eggs, fruit, nuts, yogurt and juice. It was enough. Take your own

Our stay at the Light Horse Inn was a bit underwhelming compared to what we expected. There was no innkeeper or staff on site the entire time we were there, which made the inn feel less warm and welcoming. The room itself had a noticeable smell, and the container of water that was left for us didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a while and was only half full. The plumbing in our bathroom struggled a little (that can be expected with an older house, but is still fixable). There’s also no TV in the room, which might not bother everyone, but it’s something to know before booking. We would have loved to leave our outside bedroom door open to listen to the live music from the barn, but there were so many spider webs, leaves, and other debris that it just didn’t feel comfortable. We did how

I woud really like to have had a 5 star experience, but mine was one star. Top experiences - breakfast was good and they accommodated my dietary needs. The charm of the old structure - 300 years old, was lovely. HOWEVER, there was a ceiling leak in our room where water rained down at 6:30 in the morning along a beam in our room. I reached out on phone and email. I got no responses for a day. I had to take out our own garbage from the wastebaskets I used to catch the water myself. I had to put the old large throw rug and soaked towels in the bathtub myself. I had to walk around the entire place and check all the closets I could to get clean towels. Nobody staffs the place unless it's breakfast. The representative told me later the leak was fixed and that we didn't specifically ask
